Area

Casas Es Trenc Buganvilla is located on Mallorca’s south coast. Two kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, the community enjoys an elevated position forty meters above sea level giving it a panoramic view of both Es Trenc Bay between Sa Rapita and Colonia Sant Jordi to the southeast and the Tramuntana to the northwest.

Seaside

Buganvilla is near to the village of Sa Vinyola and the urbanisation of El Paraiso. The seaside community of Sa Rapita is just 1.5 kilometers down the hill, close enough to benefit from the facilities which include a mini market, pharmacy, and an excellent bakery. Sa Rapita also has a good range of restaurants and a Club Nautica which has its own restaurant and hires out equipment for water sports. Sa Rapita is quiet and harmonious with a good mix of local residents, holiday homeowners from Campos and Palma and international residents.

Campos

The nearest large town is Campos, ten kilometers away, which serves as the municipality for the area. In addition to Sa Rapita, there are six other population centers within the Campos municipality. The economy of this municipality has been linked to agriculture since its foundation. Its lands are fertile, and it uses irrigation cultivation. The town of Campos offers several supermarkets, a sports centre, swimming pool, medical centres, a hardware store and other retail shops, veterinarians, restaurants and bars.

South coast

The south coast location, well away from Mallorca´s built-up east coast, makes living here calm and peaceful. Nature abounds: an astonishing range of flora and fauna, rolling farmland, safe country lanes for cycling and the warmest weather on the island. While somewhat off the beaten tourist path, Sa Rapita provides relatively quick access to Mallorca´s main airport (Son Sant Joan Airport, 25 minutes by car) and the capital city of Palma, which serves as the economic and cultural hub of the island. In addition to Sa Rapita on the South Coast, there are also the towns of S'Estanyol, with its boat harbor and Club Nautica, and Colonia de Sant Jordi, which offers the nearest hotels, a variety of shops and restaurants, and a harbor area with a promenade.

Beach life

Sa Rapita and its surroundings also offer wonderful beaches – Sa Rapita, Ses Covetes and Es Trenc beaches combined offer over four kilometers of clean, white sand and the kind of turquoise waters you would expect to find in the Caribbean. The beaches are part of a large, protected nature reserve which prohibits urban development.

Outdoors

If golf is your sport, there are two golf courses only twenty minutes´ drive away: at Son Antem to the west and at Vall D’Or to the east. As for cycling, Mallorca is renowned for its cycling routes, from the quiet countryside camis to the challenging mountain routes on the north coast.

The south coast of Mallorca is also very safe for swimming and paddle-boarding, with its light currents and shallow bays. When the wind blows, Sa Rapita and Es Trenc are also popular with wind and kite surfers. Club Nautica hires out equipment and can organise sailing lessons.

So the area has plenty to offer to enjoy active or leisurely living. Yet it remains relatively quiet and peaceful.
